28in. replacement nitro barrels (by another), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, H. Holland and J. Robertson patent barrel cocking action, patent no. 23 of 1883, action face with W.M. Scott and T. Baker patent gas checks, patent no. 617 of 1882, use number H226, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplates, protruding tumbler pivots, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside engraved '"THE ROYAL PATENT SAFETY HAMMERLESS EJECTOR"', the toplever engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND PATENT NO. 23', brushed and blued finish overall, 16in. replacement stock, weight 6lb. 13oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1891 for a "Munday", and subsequently resold in 1918 to a "J. Agelasto"
